Shattered Horizons may not have been the best game of the year, but the developers continue to get things right. Future Mark announced plans for their second free expansion pack, Firepower. This free DLC with include some new weapons and grenades to add some variety to where there had previously been very little.
For those that are interested the weapons are currently being tested on the beta servers (The Acronaut client for those that are less familiar). There is no set release date as the developers are still awaiting feedback on the new items. The full press release is available here.

2nd tip is hygiene.
